Shannon Arout M.S., CCC-SLP

Shannon grew up in Cary, North Carolina. She received her Bachelors degree at East Carolina University and her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. She specializes in treating individuals from birth up to 21 years of age in a variety of settings including daycare, home, school, clinics and outpatient centers. She has worked with children with receptive/expressive language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, phonological processing disorders, feeding difficulties and tethered oral tissues.
 
Shannon has completed courses such as the introductory level of PROMPT, CAN-EAT Approach, St. Josephs Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Approach, and TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training. She is trained in assessing tethered oral tissues that are impacting feeding and speech functions as well as proper stretches following a release. 

Shannon has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the board of North Carolina.​
