Shana Rehm, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD

​Shana Rehm received her Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds additional certification in Teaching Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD), and Speech Systems Intelligibility Treatment(SSIT).
During her time at Columbia, Shana worked under Dr. Michelle Troche in the Upper Airway Dysfunction Lab where she assisted in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedures to assess client’s swallowing structural conditions. Her experiences in dysphagia include assessing and treating infants, teens, adults, and geriatric patients through informal and objective studies such as Modified Barium Swallow studies.
In her clinical work, Shana has a wide range of clinical experience working in various settings: hospitals, private clinics, and both, private and public schools. She has diagnosed and treated clients with cognitive, swallowing, articulation, and language deficits/disorders. She has extensive experience utilizing Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) systems and Augmented Alternative Communication (AAC) devices with non-verbal, ASD, and visually impaired patients.
Shana strives to create a calm and encouraging environment for clients while maintaining efficient, structured and evidenced-based practices throughout each session.
