Samantha Zarro, OTR/L

Samantha graduated from The University of Scranton where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, minor in Counseling and Human Services. She received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of Scranton in 2014. Samantha relocated to the Raleigh area from New Jersey in 2016. Samantha has clinical experience in the school-system, clinic-based practice, and early intervention. Overall, Samantha has experience working with children ranging from birth through 21 years of age with various diagnoses including, but not limited to, Autism, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, fine motor delays, visual motor, ocular motor, and visual perceptual skill deficits, and sensory processing disorders. As long as she can remember, Samantha has always wanted to work with children. She loves being able to help children grow and develop while creating a fun and motivating environment for them to do so.
Samantha has experience with the following treatment interventions/modalities: Learning Without Tears, Zones of Regulation, Size Matters Handwriting Program, Astronaut Training, Safe and Sound Protocol, Floortime, trauma informed care, and more.
In her free time, Samantha enjoys traveling, reading, playing with her dog Sheldon, spending time with family and friends, and exploring all that North Carolina has to offer
