Nicole "Cole" Ellis, M.S., CCC-SLP

Cole attended Appalachian State University for both undergraduate and graduate studies. She received her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2019. She has had experience with children of all ages and with a variety of diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Auditory Processing Disorder, Angelman Syndrome, Partial Trisomy 5Q, Apraxia of Speech, expressive/receptive language delays, articulation disorders, and phonological processing disorders.
She is experienced in using a variety of therapeutic techniques such as PROMPT, Teaching Tongues, Kaufman (KSPP), PECS, Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing for Phonemic Awareness, Reading, and Spelling (LiPs). Cole has also had experience treating children using various Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) devices such as the Accent 1000 and Tobii Dynavox Eye Gaze.
Cole is passionate about serving the pediatric population and continually strives to provide patient-centered approaches to therapy. She believes the best moment in therapy is watching a child’s face reflect pure joy when they realize that their voice is being heard and understood.
