We hope everyone is remaining healthy and safe. We want to provide you with the latest updates related to COVID-19 and what that means for yours child's therapy services. Abilitations is continuing to offer Telehealth visits. Most commercial insurance companies and Medicaid have approved these types of visits through end of 2020 year. We suggest Telehealth for those families who are wanting to avoid any contact outside of their home or are considered high risk.
In addition to Telehealth services, both our offices are open for clinic visits. PT/OT/ST's are considered essential healthcare providers and play an important role in your child's overall well being. Our offices are operating with the following guidelines to maintain optimal safety of children and staff:
ACTWC is a therapist owned practice in the North Raleigh and Knightdale area dedicated to providing quality therapy services for children ages birth to 21.

Yoga for the Special Child
Our highly skilled therapists recognize that each child is unique. We work closely with families to address their needs and to incorporate their goals into each child's treatment plan. We coordinate with other primary care and specialty care providers, schools, daycare centers and community service agencies.

It is our mission at Abilitations Children's Therapy & Wellness Center to focus on the abilities of each child versus the disability. As Scott Hamilton wonderfully stated, "The only disability in life is a bad attitude!" Our programs and therapy sessions are designed to promote each child's highest level of functional independence. Our goal is to support and promote a sense of self and a focus on the overall wellness of each child.
Some say that I am disabled
But you know that isn’t true.
I simply have a challenge
A little different from you.
My slight inconvenience has taught me
Things you could not know.
Each obstacle is a victory
Enabling me to grow.I’m not really any different
I cry, I laugh, I snore.
I don’t want to be treated
As if I’m not a person anymore.
Out of good intentions
People are afraid to let me try.
But sometimes I have to fall
And sometimes I need to cry.
God gives me strength and dignity
And the courage to be all I can be.
For He doesn’t see me as disabled
He just sees me as me.
