Sarah Klein, MT-BC

Sarah was born in Pound Ridge, New York, and has since lived in Arizona, Oregon, and Florida.  She received a Bachelor of Music in both Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon in 2007 and completed the requirements for the Master of Music in Music Therapy at Florida State University in December of 2009.  Sarah’s Master’s thesis is entitled “Music Therapy for School-Aged Individuals With Varying Exceptionalities: A Content Analysis (1975 - 2009).”  Sarah received her board certification in music therapy (MT-BC) in October of 2009, and has also been certified in CPR and First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Orff-Schulwerk Level 1, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Music Therapy (NICU MT).  Sarah gained experience in hospice, medical, and educational settings while at Florida State University and completed her internship in the Leon County Public Schools, where she worked with students in pre-kindergarten through post-secondary classes with a variety of special needs.  Her hobbies include singing, music arranging, songwriting with playing guitar and piano, baking, painting, drawing, dancing, being outdoors, and appreciating nature.
